G!RO Does Juice

February 09, 2018

Here at G!RO we are constantly looking for ways to bring our lovely customers the freshest possibly  prepared  food and drink which means making as much as we can here at G!RO. To kick start 2018 we are launching our very own line of freshly prepared fruit and vegetable juices made on site with our brand new cold pressed juicer.

To begin with we are introducing three delicious juices to you, each with their own unique set of benefits. So let us introduce you to our new members of the family 😊…..

G!RO Green

Cucumber, Spinach, Celery, Apple, Ginger and Lemon

Drinking a Green Juice daily is one of the best things you can do for your health and wellbeing. It is filled with antioxidants, phytochemicals, minerals and vitamins as well as being very rich in chlorophyll which helps your body detoxify and transport oxygen. It is also great for reducing acidity and balancing your body’s PH level as well as protecting your cells from the damage caused by free radicals.

G!RO Glow
Carrot, Red Pepper, Apple, Ginger and Lemon

This juice is packed full of Vitamins A, C, B6 and K as well as Iron, Potassium and Calcium which combine to give you energy, boost your immune system function, bone health, red blood cell function, healthy blood vessel function and eye health.

G!RO Cleanse
Beetroot, Cucumber, Apple, Lemon

This juice is full of powerful antioxidants, rich in Vitamin C and helps with the absorption of iron. It helps manage blood pressure, is anti-inflammatory and has detoxification properties which work to cleanse your liver, boosts energy and give you glowing skin.

At G!RO we love clean and healthy food which revitalises and cleanses our bodies. Juicing offers many life-enhancing health benefits including a faster, more efficient way to absorb immune boosting nutrients naturally found in fruits and vegetables. For those of us who do not traditionally consume many fruits and vegetables, incorporating fresh juice can be a fun and different approach to increasing consumption of these important plant foods for improved health and wellness.

Fruits and vegetables are essential to our bodies. By consuming fruits and vegetables in raw liquid form the body absorption rate of nutrients increases and digestion is much easier, flooding your body with life-giving vitamins and minerals.

Most commercial juices are processed and lacking in nutrition while our freshly juiced fruits and vegetables are loaded with an abundance of vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients.

At the heart of G!RO, and even in the very early planning stages before we opened for business, we have celebrated and championed the synergy between coffee and cycling. In order to create a local hub for local riders, of course, coffee had to be an integral part of that. It seems so synonymous now that cycling and coffee are all part of the same experience. And beyond cycling, coffee has found its way into the very core of our everyday. This luxurious, exotic, rich dark liquid that is the centre point for meetings, catch-ups, dates, working from home, and more to the point - the start and end of a cycle ride. G!RO has based its very being around a cup of coffee.

G!RO STORM GUILDFORD TOWN CENTRE CRIT - Race Report

June 19, 2019

Last week saw the Guildford Crit, a 0.6km town centre crit that uses the infamous cobbled high street of Guildford as a large part of the circuit and the toughest finishing straight in Surrey. Every year Charlotteville CC put on this awesome race, featuring all different level racing, all raced at full gas. The nature of the circuit leaves you nowhere to hide, technical, tough, fast and short, this course will beat you up and spit you out whether you’re off the front leading comfortably or at the back struggling to keep up. There’s no easy race at Guildford. Whilst the short, technical course is brutal it also offers a spectacle that allows spectators to get immersed in the action and always turns out a big crowd, with the G!RO support crew definitely being the loudest!
