Wow! We are incredibly honoured and privileged here at G!RO to be chosen as one of a select few places to display what can only be described as a truly striking bike – or does work of art fit better? – This amazing collaboration between our good friends Romance and artist Felipe Pantone is currently being auctioned off in aid of World Bicycle Relief (Link below). At time of writing, the auction had already reached the lofty heights of £12,600, with over 4 days to go!!!!
Having seen it in the flesh, when G!RO visited the Rouleur Classic, it’s safe to say it turned heads. The guys latest venture into the custom bike territory, for the first time, has yielded results that have never before been seen; making this a truly unique bike that if funds allow would be fully worth adding to any respectable bike collection. The canvas for this artwork is a Specialized Allez Sprint - the result – Specialized as you’ve never seen one before. Despite this being their first bike, the guys at Romance are no stranger to artist collaborations, with a 2017 kit release featuring 2 collaboration kits again in aid of world bicycle relief, some of you may remember we hosted a ride for this kit launch from the café.
World bicycle relief do incredibly important work in developing countries, primarily focusing on the mobility of the population in these developing nations. Their efforts centre around the bicycle, empowering communities, particularly focusing on access to education and healthcare to catalyse economic development.
To find out more about this bike and our friends over at Romance, head to there website www.rmnc.cc, to find out more about the amazing cause they’re supporting, take a look at the world bicycle relief page worldbicyclerelief.org and to support this cause through the auction (funds dependent). If you just want to come gaze at this fine piece of art then be sure to head to G!RO before MONDAY 26th November.

It’s always been about the ride.
From a young age, cycling has been part of my life. My grandad cycled the track at Herne Hill during the ’40s, which is also where I saw Bradley Wiggins race for the first time.
We are so stoked to formally announce that our coffee will now be supplied by the amazing guys down at Workshop Coffee, based in Bethnal Green, London. We are super excited to be working with Workshop, not only because of the quality of coffee that they produce but the shared idea and the support they will give us to bring you the best coffee possible! If that wasn’t enough, we will be the only place you can come and enjoy Workshop Coffee in Surrey, that’s right, we’re EXCLUSIVE BABY!! In all seriousness, we are really excited to see this new relationship blossom to take us to the next level and have no doubt you will love the end results.
